Our BIG News!

We bought a home and got a KILLER deal on it! The home inspector came today and all looks good, so Richard gave me the okay to announce our news=). We fell in love with this home. I LOVE older homes and the potential they have. Plans are underway to repaint the entire upstairs (trust me the colors need to be fixed), refinish the gorgeous wood floor and redo the cabinets in the kitchen before we move in. I am gonna make this puppy shine and look beautiful just you wait! I have decorated the home top to bottom in my mind already.

Here are the basics of the home:
-Built in 1959
-2420 Square feet (all finished)
-4 bedrooms
-2 bathroom
-FOOD STORAGE ROOM - yup you have read all my canning posts so you already know how I feel about this wonderful feature.
- Indoor Hot Tub room. Random, I know - but kinda cool.
-TWO really cool man sheds for Richard.

The deal is set to close January 15th. We plan on moving in as soon as we get the floors refinished, the walls painted and the new cabinets in (a week or two after closing). Guess this means we are staying in Idaho Falls for a little while longer! We will have plenty of room for vistors so if you miss us that badly - come see us because we would sure love to see you!

That's awesome Jenn! Those pictures look great, but no matter what kind of house you bought....you'd turn it into a beauty. I have no background in interior decoration or anything, so I totally admire that in you! Make sure to post some photos when you get it all done. Congrats!

That is so exciting! Older houses are cool because they have a lot of detail in them. Well this must mean you will be in Idaho Falls for awhile. You will get to enjoy the LONG winters, and slick roads here with me:) I really do love it here though.
