Our Honeymoon!!!

Richard and I never really went on a honeymoon. We decided that since we are having a baby in a little less than 3 months, we would go on a final trip kid free. It was a blast. I love being married to Richard and I thoroughly enjoyed touring Washington with him. We left on Thursday after work and returned the following Wednesday. It was a great vacation.

Day 1: We stopped in Coeur d'Alene for the night and then woke up the next morning out and went to Lake Coeur d'Alene. It was absolutely gorgeous and I wish that we would have had some more time to spend there, but Washington was our ultimate destination and since our time was limited to 5 days, we couldn't stay long. The first picture is of us at Lake Coeur d'Alene although you can't see it in the background because we took the picture ourselves=).

Day 2: We drove to West Seattle/Alki beach and stayed with some friends. They are amazing people. They have a daughter who is severely disabled and it was neat to watch the loved and support her parents give her. They literally wake up with her 3-4 times EVERY NIGHT to turn her over so she doesn't get bed sores. There really must be a special place in heaven just for them!!!! ANYWAY, we arrived at their home Friday evening and we walked down to the beach area. This is the trip where reality really hit that I can no longer (well at least for the next 3 months) do everything I used to be able to do.

After walking to the beach they took us to dinner in downtown Seattle to an authentic Vietnamese Restaurant. It was a little hole in the wall place, but it was great and I was SOOOOOO proud of my boring little self for being adventurous and eating non-american food.

Day 3: We took a little ferry over to Seattle and toured the city for a few hours. It was great! We went to a little fisherman's market on Pike street and it was fun to check out all the fun fruits and vegetables and FISH that they had for sale! If only I had limitless money.

That evening we drove over to Bellingham and began to tour Richard's mission. We stayed in a hotel for a couple of nights.

I love Bellingham. My grandparents served as institute teachers at Western Washington University and we went and visited twice. You are so lucky to go there!
